Bridge Boston is a K-8 school community, located in the heart of Roxbury, serving 335 students across. We operate with an extended day to increase student learning time and support the childcare needs of our working parents by offering diverse, after-school opportunities for enrichment, exploration, and the development of social skills.
At the heart of the Bridge Boston, philosophy is the idea that we are building a community of learners and that the actions of one, affect all. While maintaining high academic standards is of utmost importance, as a community, we also care deeply about what sort of person a child is becoming. Through our full-service programming model, we support removing the health and social obstacles that hinder student learning and work in close partnership with our families and the surrounding community. Many founding teachers, administrators, and volunteers are still with our school today, keeping alive the same passion and ingenuity that characterized our first year in a small church.
